Electrical Lead – Data Center Design

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Center Electrical Lead to join our Design & Engineering department. This transversal role leads all electrical aspects of data center design and construction projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring smooth implementation of electrical infrastructure across DATA4’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the electrical systems of DATA4’s baseline data centre product and lead conceptual and detailed designs for new and existing facilities.
• Oversee implementation and construction of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with baseline product, timelines, budgets, and resolving issues during design reviews and commissioning.
• Stay abreast of latest trends and technologies, propose innovative solutions to improve performance, efficiency and sustainability, and represent the company in technical meetings.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement new technologies and best practices, and analyze performance metrics for optimization.
• Enforce health & safety, environmental, information security and energy reduction policies throughout projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data center design and construction, leading electrical design projects from concept to completion.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Design and analysis of data center electrical distribution, backup systems, and load balancing.
• Commissioning and startup of data center electrical systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
• LEED AP certification or equivalent.
• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software for electrical systems.
