Digital SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) – Customer Aircraft Definition

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Digital SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join the Customer Aircraft Definition team in Toulouse. You will work within the SAFe Train Trio, supporting the Aircraft Cabin Configurators (C3PO, CustomIT) to ensure successful Program Increment (PI) execution and maximize delivered value.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate core Agile Release Train events (PI Planning, ART Syncs, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt) across France, Germany and India.
• Support PI execution by collaborating with Product Management and System Architects to track features, remove impediments and mitigate risks.
• Monitor train progress using data‑analytics and metrics, and manage budgets and suppliers for the scope.
• Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Agile teams on Lean‑Agile principles, DevOps practices and Continuous Delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement through Inspect & Adapt cycles, built‑in quality deployment and fostering Communities of Practice.

Required profile

• Background in Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years leading SAFe/Agile teams in an industrial IT environment.
• Minimum 5 years experience in IT/Development project management.
• Strong expertise in agile contract steering, supplier management and stakeholder handling.
• Fluent English at a negotiation level (mandatory).
