Desktop Systems Specialist Apprentice

About the role

InterDigital is seeking a motivated Desktop Systems Specialist Apprentice to join its Information Services (IS) team in France. You will work closely with European employees and the Global IT team, providing technical support for a wide range of desktop and network environments.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first‑level point of contact for help‑desk tickets, diagnosing and resolving user issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, docking stations, and peripheral equipment.
• Support desktop hardware, software, phone systems, and conferencing tools for corporate users.
• Provide end‑to‑end technical assistance for network infrastructure, productivity, collaboration tools, and business applications.
• Identify urgent problems, escalate to senior IS staff, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Participate in IS and infrastructure projects and assist in delivering training sessions on basic and specialized applications.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic learner with a strong interest in IT support and desktop systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with users across Europe.
• Willingness to develop technical expertise through hands‑on experience.
