Design Principal – Commercial Workplace

About the role

We are seeking a Design Principal to lead the delivery of high‑end commercial workplace projects across Europe. Based in Paris, you will oversee the full design lifecycle from concept hand‑over to technical completion, ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design process for multiple workplace fit‑out projects from concept to technical delivery.
• Own all design outputs, guaranteeing quality, consistency and technical accuracy.
• Manage and mentor a team of Designers, Associates and Technical Designers, planning resources and workloads.
• Serve as the primary client contact during the design phase, delivering presentations, reviews and sign‑offs.
• Coordinate with consultants, landlords and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
• Partner with construction teams to manage design changes during delivery.
• Continuously improve design processes, BIM standards, documentation and workflows, adopting new technologies and AI‑driven tools.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience delivering commercial workplace or interior fit‑out projects internationally.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept through detailed technical design and construction documentation.
• Strong Revit and BIM expertise with excellent technical coordination skills.
• Experience managing and developing design teams.
• Confident client‑facing communicator, commercially aware and able to manage scope, programme and budgets.
• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Fluent in French and English.
