Deputy CFO – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

We are partnering with a leading private‑equity‑backed insurance brokerage group that is entering a new phase of rapid expansion across France and international markets. The Deputy CFO will join the executive leadership team, working closely with the CFO, CEO, Board and investors to shape financial strategy and drive value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO, CEO, Board and investors to deliver the group’s strategic and financial objectives.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management across a multi‑entity organisation.
• Oversee core finance operations including reporting, treasury, cash‑flow, tax, audit, compliance and internal controls.
• Support the buy‑and‑build strategy through acquisition due diligence, valuation, transaction execution, financing and post‑deal integration.
• Drive integration of acquired businesses to achieve operational and financial synergies.
• Enhance finance systems, reporting capabilities and governance frameworks for scalable growth.
• Prepare high‑quality Board and investor reports and manage relationships with shareholders, lenders and advisers.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CPA, Expert‑Comptable or equivalent).
• Proven experience as Deputy CFO, Finance Director or senior finance leader in a private‑equity‑backed environment.
• Strong track record supporting high‑growth, acquisitive businesses and delivering value‑creation initiatives.
• Significant M&A experience, including execution, due diligence, integration and post‑deal value delivery.
• Previous experience within insurance brokerage, insurance services or a closely related financial‑services sector.
