Datacenter IT Technician – 8‑Month Contract (France)

About the role

The client, a leading AI infrastructure provider, is expanding its datacenter operations in France and seeks a skilled Datacenter IT Technician on an 8‑month contract. You will join a technical team responsible for maintaining the physical IT infrastructure that powers AI and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on servers and related equipment.
• Install, upgrade, de‑commission and terminate hardware according to operational needs.
• Maintain and manage fiber‑optic cabling and patch‑cord connectivity.
• Perform routine IT tasks to ensure continuous datacenter operations.
• Document hardware configurations, troubleshooting steps and maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• Extensive experience diagnosing and fixing server hardware problems, preferably in a datacenter or support‑engineer role.
• Solid understanding of datacenter operations, server and network equipment principles.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑grade network switches and fiber‑optic infrastructure.
• Basic proficiency with Linux operating systems and command‑line tools.
• Exposure to AI tools or cloud infrastructure is a plus.
