Data Governance & Compliance Lead – Business & Policy

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Data Governance & Compliance Responsible with a strong business and policy focus to join the Digital for Operation department in Toulouse. You will act as the voice of data governance for your business community, ensuring data security and compliance as the company expands its digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Support the A220 Pylon integration initiative in St Eloi.
• Ensure data handling complies with Airbus data sensitivity rules, international export control laws, and national security requirements.
• Facilitate the transition from restrictive command‑and‑control governance to an agile, trust‑based model.
• Collaborate with suppliers, partners, and cloud providers to maintain secure and well‑governed data flows.
• Provide guidance on data governance policies across the extended enterprise.

Required profile

• Experience in data governance, compliance, and data security within an industrial or aerospace environment.
• Strong understanding of export control regulations and national security requirements.
• Ability to influence and communicate governance principles to diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset to drive agile, trust‑based data management.
