Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join the R&D teams in Vittel, France. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support digital tools from concept to launch, ensuring high data quality, security and accessibility.

Key responsibilities

• Accelerate the data and digital strategy for R&D by inventorying existing data sources and implementing quality and validation checks.
• Design, evolve and govern the data architecture, including ingestion, cleaning, staging, harmonisation and storage.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, IT/OT and business teams to translate scientific requirements into usable datasets for AI, simulation and analytics.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark, Flink, Beam or Databricks and orchestrate workflows with Airflow, Prefect or Luigi.
• Manage the data lifecycle, define industrialisation strategies and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Participate in proof‑of‑concept and proof‑of‑value projects, delivering high‑impact use cases for data science and AI.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong understanding of R&D processes and the data generated throughout the information lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work in project‑based environments and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent English and experience in an industrial, international setting.
