Cyber Security Engineer – Computer Emergency Response Team

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join its Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) in Toulouse. You will work within a multinational network of experts, handling cyber incidents and strengthening Airbus’s security posture across IT, OT/ICS and product domains.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate technical cyber‑attacks and conduct Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) activities.
• Improve threat‑hunting capabilities by industrialising intrusion‑detection processes.
• Design and develop new detection, response and DFIR tools.
• Perform threat intelligence on attacker groups targeting the aerospace and defence sector.
• Contribute to research, publications and represent Airbus CERT at global security forums.

Required profile

• Academic background in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in threat detection, incident response, or digital forensics.
• Hands‑on experience with reverse engineering.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational, complex environment.
