Creative Catalog Manager

About the role

IFF is looking for a Creative Catalog Manager to support its Creative Catalog Director in continuously evolving and optimising the portfolio of ingredients and their attributes available to perfumers worldwide. The role is based in the Scent Creative Center in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France) and balances profitability, intellectual property protection, supply security, complexity, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and orchestrate Olfactive Family Reviews with stakeholders from Procurement, Sustainability, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Product Development and Perfumery to assess the current and future ingredient portfolio.
• Drive initiatives that improve category win rates and margins while reducing supply chain risks.
• Lead the weekly and monthly Strategic Review Committee (SRC) meetings and follow up on resulting actions and projects.
• Manage ingredient attributes through established governance processes and tools, keeping data accurate for formulation decisions.
• Analyse the ingredient landscape, build relationships with strategic suppliers, attend industry events and trade fairs, and track competitors.
• Communicate catalog developments, strategic decisions and ingredient changes to the global perfumery community via channels such as SRC News Flash.
• Support crisis management and give guidance on ingredient sample logistics and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience working with key perfumery ingredients and their characteristics.
• Good understanding of ingredient data management and portfolio analysis.
• Strong interest in patents, supply chain management, ingredient registration requirements and database management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and ability to turn complex information into actionable recommendations.
• Strategic, curious and able to thrive in a cross-functional, international environment.
