Coordination Support for IMEO OGMP 2.0

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a consultant to serve as the focal point for the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) OGMP 2.0 data analysis and integration effort. Based in Paris, the role supports the collection, quality assurance, and integration of methane emissions data from oil and gas companies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform coverage analysis and support data quality assurance for OGMP 2.0 submissions.
• Liaise with member companies and the IMEO team to facilitate data exchange and provide feedback on reporting.
• Contribute to UNEP annual reports, fact sheets, and other communication products.
• Support MARS data connections and coordinate the integration of OGMP data with satellite, scientific, and national inventory streams.
• Assist technical Task Forces and the Steering Group in evaluating and improving reporting processes.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative, technical, and analytical abilities.
• Experience working with environmental data, preferably methane emissions reporting frameworks.
• Ability to engage with industry stakeholders and support communication activities.
• Proven capacity to work independently on a 12‑month consultancy.

Required skills

• Familiarity with OGMP 2.0 reporting framework.
