Contractual Lecturer-Researcher in AI for Industry

About the role

The Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) seeks a contractual lecturer‑researcher to strengthen its AI for Industry activities. The position combines teaching at master level, course development, and participation in a collaborative research program focused on trustworthy, auditable AI for industrial risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver approximately 64 hours of teaching per year in data science, machine learning, trustworthy AI, AI‑driven decision‑making, human‑centered AI, and related topics.
• Contribute to existing master‑level courses and design new modules aligned with the ERASMUS MUNDUS European Master in Sustainable Systems Engineering.
• Support the computer‑science engineering programmes for initial (FISE) and alternating (FISA) training.
• Participate in the "AI for Industry and Risk Management" Collaborative Acceleration Program, collaborating with the PostGenAI@Paris hub and Sorbonne Université.
• Advance research on interpretability, robustness, uncertainty quantification, and distribution‑shift resilience of AI systems for critical industrial environments.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent research experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science.
• Demonstrated experience teaching at university level, preferably in computer engineering or related fields.
• Strong publication record in trustworthy or industrial AI.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and engage with industry partners.
