Contracting & Coordination Support Consultant for IMEO

About the role

The International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) at UNEP is seeking a consultant to provide administrative and coordination support. Working remotely, the consultant will partner closely with the IMEO Contracting Coordinator to streamline recruitment, contracting, onboarding, payments and event logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation, review and submission of consultancy contract packages (UNEP and UNOPS).
• Monitor contract timelines, alert managers to upcoming expirations and advise on contract terms and risks.
• Maintain accurate contract and personnel trackers.
• Assist in revising Terms of Reference and related documents for new contracts and renewals.
• Coordinate onboarding processes, consultant payments and travel arrangements in compliance with UN rules.
• Provide logistical support for IMEO meetings, events and travel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in administrative and contracting support within international or multilateral organisations.
• Strong understanding of UN procurement and contracting procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with managers and external partners.
