Container IT Operations Manager (m/f)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Container IT Operations Manager to join its DICB Containers & Private Cloud team in Toulouse. You will help operate and evolve mission‑critical Kubernetes platforms that support Airbus’s multi‑cloud strategy and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the OpenShift/Kubernetes infrastructure, including road‑maps, version upgrades and obsolescence tracking.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for external editors, resolving complex software bugs and coordinating patch cycles.
• Drive GitOps orchestration with ArgoCD and enforce security hardening through ACM/ACS.
• Lead ITIL‑based operational processes (incident, problem, change) and conduct root‑cause analysis to ensure 24/7 stability.
• Coordinate international administrator teams and work with platform architects to meet SLA commitments.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience building, deploying and operating cloud container solutions (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher).
• Strong background in Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency with GitOps/automation tools such as ArgoCD, Ansible and Terraform.
• Advanced spoken and written English and French.
