Confirmed Accountant

About the role

As a member of Spendesk’s accounting team, you will support the finance department by managing accounting and bookkeeping duties across our subsidiaries. Reporting directly to the Accounting Director, you will work from our Paris office and collaborate closely with both finance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and yearly closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain full compliance of accounting data with local and global regulations, including tax returns, VAT, income taxes and payroll taxes.
• Interact with other departments to gather information, become an expert on the Spendesk platform, test new features and help teams improve the solution.
• Develop and implement efficient closing processes to deliver high‑quality results within short timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment.
• Autonomous, analytical mindset and ability to run financial analyses.

Required skills

• Experience with an ERP system, preferably NetSuite.
• Familiarity with the Spendesk platform (optional but beneficial).
