Composite Materials Draper – Nantes

About the role

Airbus Atlantic is looking for a Composite Materials Draper to join its Nantes site. You will be part of a high‑precision aerospace production line, responsible for the lay‑up and manufacturing of complex composite parts such such as acoustic panels and radomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual or semi‑automatic draping of composite fabrics according to detailed manufacturing sheets.
• Operate positioning lasers and molding tools to shape parts before curing.
• Carry out visual and geometric inspections during production to verify quality.
• Detect and correct defects such as folds, bubbles or depressions before the curing stage.
• Ensure parts and tools remain free of foreign objects and contamination.
• Apply technical sheets, polymerisation cycles and safety rules strictly.
• Monitor pre‑impregnated material shelf‑life and respect out‑of‑cold times.
• Complete traceability documents (manufacturing orders, technical sheets) for every component.

Required profile

• Significant experience in manual or semi‑automatic composite draping and handling in a high‑precision industrial environment.
• Strong sense of rigor, punctuality and autonomy, with responsibility for own production output.
• Proactive attitude to suggest process improvements and work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, plan actions and report any safety or quality deviations immediately.

Required skills

• Manual and semi‑automatic composite lay‑up techniques.
• Use of laser positioning systems and molding tooling.
• Visual and geometric inspection of composite parts.
• Knowledge of polymerisation cycles and pre‑impregnated material shelf‑life management.
• Accurate completion of traceability and production documentation.
