Communication Consultant

About the role

UNEP is seeking a Communication Consultant to develop a high‑quality end‑of‑project impact communications package for the Capacity‑building Initiative for Transparency – Global Support Programme (CBIT‑GSP). The consultancy will translate technical climate‑transparency results into compelling narratives for donors, governments and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a visually compelling End‑of‑Project Impact Report that documents achievements, results and broader impact.
• Develop supporting communication assets such as visual graphics, digital media content and story‑telling pieces.
• Gather and synthesize lessons learned and success stories from participating countries and partners.
• Ensure all materials align with UNEP branding and communication standards.
• Engage remotely with project teams and stakeholders to collect information and feedback.

Required profile

• Experience in communications for international development, climate or environmental programmes.
• Proven ability in strategic storytelling, visual communication and digital media production.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills and ability to work independently on a remote, part‑time basis.
• Capacity to deliver high‑quality outputs within a three‑month timeframe.
