Commodity Manager – Hardware Systems Standard Parts

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead the procurement of hardware systems standard parts and specified items. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies for fluid conveyance, insulation, and seals across all Airbus programmes, from the A220 to the NextGen.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end procurement strategy, market intelligence, tender management and commercial negotiations for the assigned commodity portfolio.
• Lead a team of 2‑3 buyers and coordinate multidisciplinary projects for technical qualification and risk mitigation.
• Manage supplier relationships, contract lifecycles and total cost of ownership while ensuring performance and risk reduction.
• Drive competitiveness initiatives such as Design‑to‑Cost, cost reduction and standardisation to meet aircraft programme cost targets.
• Act as Lead‑Buyer for frame contracts and integrate Airbus Business Units into the procurement strategy through synergy groups.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a buyer in a complex industrial environment.
• Strong technical expertise in contract management, negotiation and financial analysis.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
• Fluent negotiation‑level English; French or German is a plus.
