Commis de Rang – Fine Dining Service

About the role

The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat seeks a motivated Commis de Rang to join its distinguished restaurant team. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the delivery of refined, attentive service that reflects Four Seasons standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the dining room before service, set up stations and ensure all mise en place is complete.
• Assist Chefs de Rang by serving dishes and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and responding promptly to guest requests.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining areas, following safety and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service flow.
• Participate in team briefings, continuously learn menu details, and contribute to an elegant guest experience.

Required profile

• Strong foundational culinary abilities with basic cooking and food preparation skills suitable for a fine‑dining environment.
• Solid understanding of hygiene standards, food safety, cleanliness and sanitation in line with hotel and local regulations.
• Effective communication skills and professional appearance.
• Previous experience in upscale or luxury restaurants or hotels is an asset.
• Attention to detail, guest‑centric mindset and ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Working knowledge of French and English is highly beneficial.
