Certification Specialist – Flight Controls

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Certification Specialist to join its Engineering department in Toulouse. You will work within the Flight Controls team, focusing on certification and airworthiness activities that ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of aircraft programs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and negotiate Certification Plans with airworthiness authorities for system modifications.
• Coordinate designers, suppliers, test centres and pilots to secure timely means of compliance.
• Manage the interface with Airworthiness Authorities throughout the certification lifecycle.
• Lead continuous airworthiness assessments, investigate safety issues and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to system safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Analysis and System Safety Assessment.

Required profile

• Significant professional experience in system safety, certification, qualification or auto‑flight system development.
• Strong knowledge of system physical architecture, integration and engineering.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for multidisciplinary teams and authorities.
• High degree of autonomy, team spirit and ability to build trust.
• Negotiation level proficiency in English.
