Cell & Molecular Biology Engineer (Research)

About the role

The Institut Curie Research Center is seeking a motivated Engineer in Cell and Molecular Biology to join its cancer research team in Paris. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that bridge basic biology and translational applications, focusing on chromatin biology, epigenetics, and stem‑cell differentiation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, including embryonic stem cell maintenance and differentiation.
• Conduct microscopy experiments and acquire high‑resolution images.
• Analyze imaging data using ImageJ/Fiji and develop quantitative pipelines.
• Execute biochemical and genomic assays to investigate chromatin and epigenetic mechanisms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to scientific publications.
• Train junior staff and share best practices in laboratory techniques.

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Cell and Molecular Biology.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience with cell culture and imaging.
• Strong scientific English (reading, writing, oral).
• Ability to work autonomously, organize experiments, and cooperate in a team.

Required skills

• Microscopy and image analysis (ImageJ/Fiji).
• Biochemistry and genomics techniques.
• Proficiency with office software; basic programming in Python and/or Matlab is a plus.
• Interest in AI approaches applied to biology is considered an asset.
