Category Buyer - Green Capex

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Category Buyer (f/m) for its Green Capex procurement department in Toulouse, France. Within Facility Management and Real Estate Procurement, the role contributes to Airbus' sustainability initiatives (carbon offset market, carbon capture, renewable energy, sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, sustainable buildings) and to its Net-Zero ambition. You will lead procurement for building and construction of renewable energy installations (photovoltaic and wind), biomass generators, battery systems and energy efficiency technologies across Airbus divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, with a multi-functional team, the definition, improvement and implementation of a sourcing strategy for a sub-category (PV, wind, biomass, batteries, etc.) across all Airbus divisions and geographies.
• Guide the execution of the green energy transformation strategy and influence corporate approaches to decarbonisation.
• Conduct international and cross-divisional contract negotiations, supplier selection and contracting.
• Negotiate, establish, implement and regularly review transnational and trans-divisional contracts, and manage them against commercial, quality and delivery KPIs.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and projects to optimise customer value and minimise total cost of ownership and risks.
• Engage stakeholders from different functions to prepare strategic and contract decisions.

Required profile

• University degree from an engineering or business school, or in energy, sustainability or facility management.
• Several years of experience in negotiation and contract management.
• Professional experience in the energy or facility management sector.
• Experience with CAPEX processes is a plus; experience with renewable energy regulation, generation projects and decarbonisation is a plus.
• Fluent English and ideally another Airbus core language (German, French, Spanish).
• Security clearance or eligibility for it.
