Business Development Representative – French Speaking (Paris)

Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering billions of digital transactions. We are seeking a proactive Business Development Representative who will act as a strategic partner to Sales, using AI‑driven insights and deep technical research to open doors with prestigious brands. The role focuses on mastering the payments landscape and generating high‑intent opportunities that translate into revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep technical knowledge of Checkout.com’s product suite and global payment trends to consult prospective merchants.
• Conduct strategic account mapping and in‑depth research to identify and engage high‑value strategic accounts.
• Lead advanced discovery calls that uncover technical and business challenges beyond a simple pitch.
• Drive daily outreach rhythm, maintain pipeline accuracy, and support sales to move deals through the funnel.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Underwriting, and Product teams to align stakeholders and accelerate sales cycles.
• Leverage AI‑driven tools such as Salesforce and intent‑data platforms to optimise lead generation and territory planning.

Required profile

• Business‑level fluency in French.
• Proactive ownership of territory and outcomes with a track record of over‑achieving targets.
• Strong intellectual curiosity about complex financial technology and industry dynamics.
• Excellent communication and presence, able to engage stakeholders from product leads to C‑suite executives.
• Ability to use AI and sales technology to work smarter, not harder.
• Resilience and positivity in the face of setbacks, coupled with coachability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
