Backup Service Product Manager (All Genders)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Backup Service Product Manager to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of backup solutions for its operations in France and Germany. You will ensure the service meets reliability, quality, and customer satisfaction targets while supporting the company’s high‑tech, inclusive manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define, deploy and supervise the backup service strategy, standards and configuration.
• Manage the budget, contracts and licences associated with backup/restore services.
• Act as the primary interface with service providers, overseeing deliverables, quality and SLA compliance.
• Ensure daily reliability and availability of backup/restore services, including capacity planning, patch deployment and media management.
• Lead projects for new technical solutions, service obsolescence and automation initiatives.
• Maintain the backup service catalog, dashboards (KPIs) and CMDB entries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product or service management for backup/restore solutions.
• Strong budget and contract management skills.
• Ability to work with service providers and manage SLA performance.
• Expertise in incident escalation, capacity planning and technical problem solving (Level 3).
• Project leadership experience, especially for deployment and obsolescence projects.

Required skills

• Backup software and restore tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault or similar).
• Configuration Management Database (CMDB) maintenance.
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) definition and monitoring.
• Capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• Patch management for backup tools.
