Back End Engineer – Manufacturing Support

About the role

Ball is seeking a Back End Engineer to provide engineering support for its manufacturing sites across EMEA and worldwide. You will drive process improvements, support installations, and help implement best‑practice standards to enhance operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Support installations, audits, and efficiency programmes at plant sites.
• Drive maintenance standards and promote best practices.
• Deliver technical support and training to plant teams.
• Identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
• Manage small‑scale plant projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with plants, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
• Produce clear and timely site‑visit reports.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Concorde machine equipment.
• Strong understanding of back‑end manufacturing processes.
• Proven problem‑solving and process‑improvement abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Self‑motivated team player.
