Automotive E/E System and Software Architect

About the role

NXP is building a new Automotive System and Platform Architecture organization and needs an experienced architect to shape the next‑generation E/E architecture and software definition. You will work on the CoreRide platform, collaborating with internal engineering and external OEM teams.

Key responsibilities

• Use architecture and software engineering tools to evaluate trade‑offs such as network topologies, functional safety, latency, security, and power management.
• Prototype different archetypes, analyse partitioning, and assess power and performance KPIs.
• Collaborate with NXP automotive and architecture teams on exploration, analysis and execution of system designs.
• Define system and software architecture solutions for CoreRide platforms covering central and zonal architectures.
• Deliver architecture specifications and support execution teams, ensuring fast feedback loops and convergence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in the automotive market, preferably with Tier‑1 or OEM engagements.
• Proven history of defining system and software architectures for vehicle functions and platforms.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.

• Understanding of vehicle functions, drivers, middleware and platform trade‑offs.
• Knowledge of functional safety, security, power distribution and management.
• Experience with prototyping and performance analysis of automotive platforms.
