Airframe Structural Design Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an Airframe Structural Design Engineer to join its new military program team in Toulouse, France. You will contribute to the design and development of aircraft structural components for a cutting‑edge defence project.

Key responsibilities

• Concept, definition and development of structural aircraft components, assemblies and installations for Airframe Derivatives programmes.
• Use Catia V5 and CSG Full3D (and related tools) to create detailed 3‑D models.
• Establish design principles, key characteristics, interfaces, material selections and manufacturing processes.
• Participate in collaborative and concurrence processes with industrial, production and customer‑facing teams.
• Support the full product lifecycle using an end‑to‑end design process and modern software applications.
• Coordinate with other engineering design offices such as stress and analysis teams.
