Aircraft Performance – Flight Test Specialist

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Flight Test Analyst to join the Aircraft Test and Analytics department in Toulouse. You will help develop aircraft performance evaluation capabilities by analysing flight and simulated test data to demonstrate certification criteria and assess aircraft performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare flight test campaigns, validating aircraft configuration, test instrumentation and real‑time telemetry visualization tools.
• Monitor flight tests in real time from the telemetry control centre and assist the flight crew to ensure test validity and safety.
• Analyse test data and provide aircraft performance summaries for design departments such as aerodynamics and performance.
• Optimise flight test data analysis tools and perform big‑data analytics to maximise added value.
• Draft and prepare official certification documentation.

Required profile

• Academic background in flight physics engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Initial professional experience or exposure to flight mechanics principles.
• Strong initiative, flexibility in a reactive operational environment and a team‑player attitude.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French (daily use).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Proficiency in Matlab programming.
