AI Decision Making Research Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an AI Decision Making Research Engineer to join its Connected Intelligence technology labs in Boulogne‑Billancourt, France. You will work on cutting‑edge research and development to create decision‑making tools that combine artificial intelligence and operations‑research techniques for defence and space applications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and contribute to the architecture of AI‑driven decision‑making solutions.
• Lead projects within the laboratory team, from concept to proof‑of‑concept.
• Design, develop, test and integrate software modules into the lab’s platforms.
• Implement AI and optimisation algorithms for demonstration and customer‑specific use cases.
• Support the deployment of solutions on customer premises, respecting existing constraints.
• Help evolve the laboratory environment, networking and internal knowledge sharing.
