Aerodynamics Engineer – Aircraft Design

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to join its Aerodynamics Department in Toulouse, France. The role focuses on aerodynamic characterization of aircraft across all programmes, from early design through flight‑test validation, supporting innovative technologies and sustainable airliner concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop optimized aerodynamic models for innovative aircraft configurations, flexible structures and electric propulsion systems.
• Integrate new propulsion concepts into the overall aerodynamic model and advance modeling techniques.
• Contribute to the development and use of propeller and propulsion simulation tools.
• Explore machine‑learning and artificial‑intelligence approaches to accelerate model generation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with knowledge of aerodynamic modelling and flight mechanics.
• At least 2 years of experience or a strong willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with CFD tools, including meshing and turbulence models.
• Programming skills in Python.
• Data‑science familiarity (machine learning, AI) is a plus.
• Advanced English; French is an advantage.
