Teacher & Transportation Supervisor (Grades 26‑27)

About the role

This position combines classroom teaching with oversight of the district's student transportation system. The incumbent will ensure safe, efficient bus operations while delivering instructional duties for grades 26‑27.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and administer a transportation program that supports instructional and extracurricular activities.
• Plan, update, and optimize bus routes for efficiency, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Recruit, supervise, and train transportation personnel, ensuring all drivers meet certification requirements.
• Address student transportation issues, act as liaison with parents, and handle special requests.
• Collaborate with school principals to resolve discipline matters on buses and to coordinate special trips.
• Maintain compliance with state transportation laws and district policies.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of district‑owned vehicles and manage equipment inventories.
• Prepare and submit required transportation reports and documentation.
