Software Engineer – Java/Kotlin/Spring Boot

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Doctolib’s Platform team (ATP), responsible for building and maintaining the backend foundations that power our distributed services. You will work with a small team of engineers to design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable components used across the Doctolib platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define and implement platform features.
• Lead the technical vision for performance, security and usability of core services.
• Improve the performance of existing Java components and challenge the status‑quo.
• Deliver roadmap items and contribute to quarterly planning.
• Help continuously improve implementation, testing and monitoring practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a technically challenging environment.
• Proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn.
• Strong backend focus with expert knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of web technologies and the software development life‑cycle.
• User‑first mindset.
