Senior Superconducting Process Data & MES Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Superconducting Process Data & MES Integration Engineer to deploy, configure, operate and continuously improve a commercial Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that supports our quantum chip fabrication, packaging and characterization activities. The role sits within the Foundries & Process Integration team of the Quantum Hardware & Infrastructure department.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and customize a commercial MES across all fabrication, packaging and characterization tools, translating superconducting device flows into MES routings and traceability structures.
• Analyze fabrication, electrical test and cryogenic characterization data to identify process variability, tool effects, drift, yield limitations and failure modes.
• Design and implement APIs, scripts and database connections to integrate equipment with the MES, including tools lacking SECS/GEM support.
• Build dashboards and reports for process monitoring, equipment performance, yield and engineering investigations, ensuring full traceability at lot, wafer and chip levels.
• Train MES users, provide day‑to‑day troubleshooting, and act as the main technical interface with the MES vendor.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Micro/Nanofabrication or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor or superconducting circuits nanofabrication in an R&D or prototyping environment.
• Strong understanding of superconducting device fabrication process flows and ability to work in fast‑changing R&D fab constraints.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with process engineers, operators, software teams and external vendors.
