Senior Operations Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Operations Support Engineer to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of production systems for our client in Strasbourg. You will lead high‑severity incident management, drive root‑cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement across a cloud‑native, containerized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate resolution of high‑severity incidents with stakeholders.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Define, implement, and optimise monitoring and observability strategies.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, environment optimisation and capacity analysis.
• Validate deployment, rollback, and testing plans together with DevSecOps and DBA teams.
• Produce operational reports and support automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of IT Operations experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Proven experience in cloud‑native and containerised environments.

Required skills

• Linux/Unix administration.
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
• Middleware and integration technologies (APIs, messaging, event streaming, IAM).
• Monitoring and observability tools.
• Scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Technologies: Spring Boot, Java 21, REST, gRPC, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ArgoCD, Helm Charts, Artifactory, GitHub.
