Public Affairs & Partnership Internship

About the role

Alta Ares is seeking a motivated intern to support its Public Affairs and Partnership activities. You will work closely with the defense business unit to monitor tenders, prepare responses, and analyse strategic trends in the military AI and counter‑UAS space.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and identify relevant military tenders and calls for proposals (DGA, European Defense Fund, NATO).
• Prepare and submit responses to identified tenders.
• Track defense innovation programs and coordinate application processes.
• Conduct defence intelligence and strategic analysis, including doctrinal evolutions in autonomous systems and C‑UAS operations.
• Produce executive summaries on military requirements, threat assessments, and operational trends.
• Engage with the defence industrial base, prime contractors, GICAT, and military R&D centres.

Required profile

• Master’s student in Defence & Security, International Relations, Public Affairs or a related field.
• Deep understanding of French Armed Forces organization, military doctrine and procurement processes.
• Strong interest in military AI, drones, ISR systems and counter‑UAS operations.
• Familiarity with defence tenders, public procurement procedures and funding mechanisms.
• Excellent writing skills for technical and executive documentation.
• Comfortable interacting with military personnel and defence officials.
• Autonomous, initiative‑driven, fluent English (written and spoken).
• French nationality (security‑clearance eligibility).
