Pilot Instructor / Examiner (TRI/TRE)

About the role

The Airbus Type Rating Instructor / Examiner (TRI/TRE) will join the Airbus Europe Training Centre in Blagnac (Toulouse) and deliver flight and simulator training for international customers. The role involves representing Airbus to operators and authorities, collaborating with global teams, and developing expertise in training, project and management areas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct line training, line checking and simulator training for Airbus aircraft.
• Support the TFOS community and provide on‑demand office assistance.
• Ensure safe and efficient entry‑into‑service for customers through initial operating experience and simulator sessions.
• Lead and participate in projects related to training and flight operations.
• Represent Airbus as an ATO and manufacturer in front of customers and authorities.
• Proactively identify potential issues and propose solutions.

Required profile

• EASA ATPL licence.
• Valid EASA TRI on A320, A330/A350 LIFUS.
• EASA Medical Class 1.
• English proficiency rating of 4 (fluent).
• Low‑visibility operations qualification (minimum one Autoland on Airbus FBW as Captain).
• ETOPS qualification (held or previously held).
• Minimum 5 000 total flight hours, including 2 000 on large jets and 2 500 as Captain on Airbus aircraft.
• At least 500 hours of instructor experience in full‑flight simulators on large aircraft.
• Significant commercial airline experience and evidence‑based training assessment expertise.
