PhD Investment & Strategy Associate

About the role

Dedale Intelligence is seeking a PhD Investment & Strategy Associate to bridge deep technical research with venture capital and private equity investment decisions. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and valuing frontier AI and technology companies, while developing financial and strategic expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies.
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on public and private firms.
• Build quantitative models and generate qualitative insights through expert interviews.
• Collaborate with peers and ex‑Tier 1 consultants to produce high‑quality deliverables.
• Prepare monitoring reports, screening materials, and communication assets for investment decisions.
• Lead English‑language interviews with industry experts and support process improvements.

Required profile

• PhD (or near completion) from a Tier 1 university in AI‑related fields such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics.
• 2–3 years of experience in strategy, business analysis, or related finance/tech internships.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to synthesize quantitative findings into actionable insights.
• Passion for artificial intelligence, technology innovation, and investment.
