About the role

The Payment Operations Efficiency & AI Automation role sits within Swan’s Payment group, which builds and operates the banking platform that powers money movements for all Swan financial products. The team’s mission is to eliminate the operational complexity of handling payments – from adopting new payment methods to booking, reconciling, and complying with regulatory obligations – so that Swan’s partners and end‑users experience a seamless flow. You will focus on improving the efficiency of daily payment operations and driving AI‑enabled automation to reduce manual work and error rates, working closely with engineering, compliance, product, and external financial partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage banking transactions such as credit transfers, direct debits, and card payments.
• Provide end‑to‑end support and resolve transaction‑related incidents with internal teams (Engineering, Compliance, Product) and external partners (banks, card processors, networks).
• Oversee clearing and settlement controls and perform reconciliation across all payment flows.
• Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with Swan’s financial partners, identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements.
• Execute non‑STP (non‑straight‑through‑processing) transactions and related operational tasks.
• Design and implement AI‑based automation solutions to increase payment operation efficiency.
• Monitor operational metrics and produce regular performance and error‑trend reports.
