Marine Ecology Instructor – Summer Program (Nice)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified instructor to lead our Marine Ecology course during the Summer 2026 program at the CIEE Nice Study Center. The course, taught in English, will be delivered to 10‑15 U.S. students in a fully in‑person format.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 45 contact hours of lectures and seminars covering marine biodiversity, oceanography, and conservation.
• Facilitate experiential learning activities such as field visits and guest speaker sessions.
• Prepare and adapt course materials, including a sample syllabus, to meet student needs.
• Assess student performance, assign grades, and provide feedback in line with U.S. higher‑education standards.
• Utilize the Canvas learning platform for course management and communication.

Required profile

• C2‑level English proficiency or native fluency.
• Resides in the Nice area (relocation not supported).
• Familiarity with U.S. higher‑education assessment and grading practices.
• Teaching experience, preferably both in‑person and online.
• Interest in innovative pedagogy and marine conservation.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of marine ecology and related scientific concepts.
• Proficiency with the Canvas learning management system.
