Interinstitutional Coordinator – Super Pollutants Accelerator (Mexico)

About the role

The Interinstitutional Coordinator will support Mexico’s Government in aligning and advancing the Super Pollutants Accelerator agenda. The role ensures coherence among ministries, agencies and stakeholders to meet the country’s short‑lived climate pollutant (SLCP) commitments and broader climate and air‑quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate collaboration across line and sectoral ministries and coordinate a national inter‑ministerial mechanism for super‑pollutant actions.
• Engage with CCAC Hubs and other stakeholders to align strategies, produce policy briefs and ensure effective information flow.
• Develop and maintain coordination protocols, dashboards and regular progress reports to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in public administration, environmental policy, international relations or related field (or a first‑level degree with additional experience).
• 6–8 years of experience in public policy and governmental coordination, preferably in environment, climate or sustainable development, with strong knowledge of Mexico’s environmental institutions and SLCP issues.
• Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) and strong English communication skills.
