Group Accounting Lead

About the role

Lead the redesign and operational implementation of Data4’s Center of Finance and Accounting Excellence, ensuring financial integrity, compliance and operational excellence across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Build capability and autonomy of local finance teams, reducing reliance on external CPAs and improving understanding of financial data.
• Redesign and implement accelerated close (Fast Close) processes across all entities, ensuring alignment with Consolidation Team workflows.
• Establish escalation mechanisms for monthly close issues, track recurring bottlenecks and adjust processes based on feedback.
• Enforce health & safety, environmental, information security and energy policies in line with IMS certifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, with CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in group accounting and consolidation within an international, multi‑entity environment, preferably in a high‑growth, private‑equity‑backed or technology‑driven company.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Group accounting and consolidation expertise.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and SOX compliance.
• Experience with digital finance transformation, ERP and consolidation tools.
• Expertise in complex accounting transactions and audit processes.
