Game Economy Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Game Economy Designer to shape and balance the in‑game economies of our Roblox simulator and tycoon titles. You will work closely with designers and developers throughout the production cycle to ensure engaging, monetizable experiences that retain players over the long term.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core resource systems, currencies, rewards, and progression loops for Roblox games.
• Model player behavior, forecast economic bottlenecks, and create healthy sources and sinks.
• Develop tools and processes for rapid balancing at scale to match frequent release schedules.
• Test and validate economy features to guarantee smooth, addictive gameplay.
• Collaborate with game designers during pre‑production to embed economy considerations into GDDs.
• Support studios during implementation, providing guidance and adjustments.
• Mentor partner studios on best practices in economy design.
• Analyze live‑ops data, funnels, and KPIs to continuously refine the economy post‑launch.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Game Economy Designer or similar role, preferably on Roblox‑style simulator or tycoon games.
• Strong knowledge of free‑to‑play design and monetization systems.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret player data and identify optimization opportunities.
• Proactive interest in competitor analysis and industry trends.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken) for effective collaboration with international teams.
• Passion for games, user‑generated content platforms, and player‑centered design.
