Fluidics & Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Biomemory is looking for a hands‑on Fluidics & Mechanical Engineer to join its Hardware Engineering team. You will lead the design, development, qualification and automation of fluidics‑centric modules that enable DNA‑based data storage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for all fluidics functions, ensuring compliance with the global system architecture.
• Define specifications, design, build and qualify fluidic modules from concept to production.
• Guide internal and external resources, collaborating with biotech, hardware, software and electronics teams.
• Design and construct test rigs, collect data and maintain traceable documentation.
• Drive automation of fluidic processes and continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics or a related field with a focus on fluidics, mechanics or material science.
• 5+ years of experience designing and operating fluidic systems for commercial biotech or lab‑automation products.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to balance off‑the‑shelf solutions with custom inventions.
