Flagship General Manager - Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris

About the role

ALO is looking for a General Manager for its flagship store in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré area of Paris. The GM leads, manages and develops all aspects of the business, is accountable for a positive, productive workplace aligned with the company's mission, and drives sales, profitability, operational and merchandising targets together with a Sales, Operations and Visual team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the brand's retail strategies, using local market knowledge of clients and competitors and awareness of business trends
• Use KPIs to drive business strategies and lead the team toward sales goals
• Communicate the brand's mission to guests and foster growth, accountability and inclusivity through coaching, performance management and training
• Analyse talent, plan career progression and build internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment
• Work with the Operations and Visual Manager to keep inventory accurate and replenished, uphold visual standards and maintain a safe, efficient store
• Create schedules that deliver business results while managing labour effectively
• Act as an ALO ambassador, collaborate across functions and create effective communication strategies across the store

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in retail or a related industry
• Business owner mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and independent work ethic
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift, and to lift, push or carry up to 50 pounds (23 kg)
• Right to live and work in the country from the start of employment
• Open availability, including peak days, weekends and the Blackout period (Thanksgiving through early January)

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
