Flagship General Manager - Champs-Elysées, Paris

About the role

ALO is looking for a General Manager for its flagship store on the Champs-Elysées in Paris. The GM leads, manages and develops all aspects of the store's business, creates a positive and productive work environment, and is accountable for sales and profitability goals, operational objectives, merchandising standards and a successful Sales, Operations and Visual team.

Key responsibilities

• Retail leader: develop and run the brand's retail strategy, including customer experience, client relations, employee performance and community engagement, and increase brand awareness and foot traffic
• People leader: onboard new hires, train staff, coach and evaluate the team, set individual development plans, monitor performance and fill vacancies, prioritising internal candidates
• Operations leader: enforce store standards (cleanliness, maintenance, replenishment), uphold visual merchandising, control inventory shrinkage, complete daily and weekly reporting, manage headcount and payroll, and implement an effective P&L strategy
• Business partner: identify opportunities in product, sales and team development, resolve customer complaints, collaborate with cross-functional partners and communicate with the executive team
• Hold regular store meetings, reinforce company standards and policies, and recommend improvements to operational systems

Required profile

• Prior retail or related industry experience
• Experience managing and leading a team
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset, independent work ethic and alignment with ALO's guiding principles

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to use company performance tools to track KPIs such as conversion, average sales and UPT
