Field Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Field Technician to join our pipeline inspection team in France. The role combines hands‑on field work with coordination of in‑line inspection (ILI) activities for oil and gas pipelines across Europe. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure safe and reliable pipeline operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit operational and technical field reports, including pigging and project documentation.
• Coordinate equipment, tools and auxiliary systems to guarantee readiness for field operations.
• Review project manuals, procedures and technical specifications.
• Execute ILI and pigging activities following QA/QC, safety standards and project timelines.
• Perform cleaning runs, site surveys and DGPS surveys according to operational requirements.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of inspection projects.
• Maintain data integrity during inspection runs and adhere to industry standards.
• Support the Team Leader with additional operational tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Field Technician or similar role in EPC or oil & gas.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Proven experience with in‑line inspection operations.
• Strong understanding of pipeline systems and industrial safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in demanding field environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including international assignments, and work flexible hours.
