Field Engineering Manager, France

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Field Engineering Manager to lead a team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers based in France. The role sits at the intersection of technology and business, helping teams design value-based solutions and grow through close collaboration with Sales. The location is Paris, within commuting distance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing pre-sales team in France.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture reflecting Databricks' values of customer obsession, teamwork and diversity.
• Partner with Sales to drive growth through solution- and value-based selling.
• Establish best practices that improve team efficiency and focus on business impact.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives and strategic partners.
• Work with Marketing, Sales and Services so that implementations run smoothly and customers succeed.
• Represent Databricks as part of the regional leadership team and help build its brand and market presence.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing technical teams in Big Data, Cloud or SaaS environments.
• Track record of leading, mentoring and scaling pre-sales or technical field organisations.
• Understanding of consumption-based business models.
• Fluent English and native-level French.
• Passion for data, AI and cloud technologies and the ability to explain their business value clearly.

Required skills

• Technical background in Data Engineering, Databases or Data Science (consulting experience is a plus).
• Ability to work effectively with Sales and other cross-functional leaders.
