About the role
The Extended Care Worker provides supervision and engagement for children beyond regular school hours, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The role supports children’s developmental and educational needs while maintaining clear communication with parents and guardians. It aligns with ISP principles of safeguarding, respect, operational effectiveness, financial responsibility, and continuous learning, creating a supportive and inclusive community for every child.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in activities.
- Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children.
- Support children’s developmental and educational needs.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about children’s progress and needs.
Required profile
- Experience in childcare, preferably in an educational setting.
- Relevant certifications in childcare or early childhood education.
Required skills
- Strong childcare and communication skills.
- Excellent patience and ability to work with young children.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
