Controller – France (Finance)

About the role

Babcock International is seeking a Controller for its French operations, based in Paris. Reporting directly to the CFO France & Aviation, you will be the trusted right‑hand for financial performance, reporting, and control across all French entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting under IFRS and French GAAP.
• Oversee controlling, treasury, tax and ensure compliance with Group finance policies.
• Maintain robust internal controls, coordinate statutory and Group audits, and manage regulatory compliance.
• Supervise treasury activities, support structured financing and drive cash‑flow optimisation.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial analysis for strategic decisions, investments and M&A.
• Lead and develop a small controlling/FP&A team and represent Finance in cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive senior finance experience (Controller, FP&A Lead, Finance Director) in aerospace or defence.
• Strong expertise in IFRS and French GAAP, with knowledge of IFRS 15 considered a plus.
• Proven experience in multinational, matrix environments and finance transformation initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP and Business Intelligence system implementation or optimisation.
