Casual Lecturer / Tutor – Accounting, Audit & Tax (Australia)

About the role

The School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation is seeking casual lecturers and tutors to deliver high‑quality teaching, marking and student consultation for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This flexible role supports the School’s teaching mission while allowing you to choose the courses that best match your expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials and workshops in accounting, audit and tax subjects.
• Mark assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Offer one‑on‑one student consultation and support.
• Perform administrative duties related to course delivery and student services.
• Attend course meetings and participate in professional development activities such as training and workshops.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting, Taxation or a dual degree with a specialization in these areas.
• CPA or CA ANZ qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Relevant work experience in accounting, taxation or finance.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in management accounting, financial accounting, auditing, business taxation or tax policy.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a teaching‑intensive environment.
